I rode the bus with the K's class to the children's museum the other day. Normally, I use this blog to record things for my kids about them, about life. But the little boy who shared the seat with K and me was just too funny. The girl across the aisle looked mischievously at Jacob and said, " I love you Jacob." Her eyes were sparkling with pleasure at the enormity of the statement. After all, I am pretty sure that to her such a declaration meant marriage. Jacob responded by banging his large head (literally) against the back of the seat in front us.
"What's wrong Jacob?" I asked, hiding the fact that I had heard Hailey's declaration.
"She loves me," he lamented, while continuing to bang his head.
"Is that bad?"
"I already love a girl," he replied, his eyes still big about this tragedy.
"Can you love more than one?" I curiously awaited his reply.
"NO, my mom is all I can handle."
Don't worry I shared this precious moment with Jacob's mom the next time I saw her.
