A treasure, from H. This happened last week in the car.
H: Mom, you are really good at saying "No."
Me: What do you mean?
H: Like when I really wanted that pink basket and kept asking and you kept saying no.
Me: And you think this is a good thing?
H: Otherwise we would have way too much junk.
Note to self: She is listening, even if her actions don't reflect it and that stuff you read about how kids really want boundaries, it's true.

I said Oh, crap in the car. Emma from the back said you know mom when you say those bad things I just feel like I need to say them.
Thanks for the reminder that setting rules and limits is what kids need. It gives me strength to keep it up.
