Blessings

I get sad sometimes as I watch my friends drop their children off with uncles, aunts, and grandparents. My family seems so far away. But I am reminded that God is beginning to give me good friends, friends who can act like family. Last night our dear neighbor Laura, took the girls for a red headed slumber party. Another friend, who is not a red head, dropped by in a fairy costume to the delight of the girls. They watched movies, painted nails, wore make-up, dressed up themselves and their animals. The girls went over there about 5 p.m. but H started asking if it was time to go about 1 p.m. and she didn't want to come home this morning at 9 a.m. Thanks Laura!

Meanwhile, Tom and I went to Kathleens with a buy one get one free dinner coupon. It was the nicest restaurant we've been to since moving here. We talked and made fun of the the word mountain being applied to the ski hill outside. We went to an awful movie that I wouldn't even recommend renting, Four Christmases. We did get several good laughs. And we woke up with the light this morning instead of to the sound of children. Happy Anniversary (late) to us. It was great.
