Milestones

H made her first goal in soccer last night. YEA! I was more excited than she was. She said making a goal made her feel like she was getting better. The bummer: it was the one of the games they scheduled when Tom was teaching so he missed it.

Kindergarten is over. So much learning. H wasn't excited. She doesn't like getting older. She doesn't like change. She cried because she will miss her teacher. I spent the afternoon helping Mrs. Suchocki pack boxes for the big move to new-old building. It will be farther away---thank goodness for car pools (and the much-loved Jack). The day ended by giving each kindergartner a sheet of bubble wrap and then they all jumped at the same time. They laughed and giggled, but the sound was defeening and made my ears ring! Here are pictures of H on her last day. The face painting is from last night's ice cream social at school. Note to Grandma: if you click on the pictures, a bigger version will appear.

As always, those girls are so stinking cute!
And I love your climbing rose in the background. :)

Kara-Help do you know anything about climbing roses? The previous owner planted them and they are in the sun almost all day, but they are always getting diseases. Two weeks ago I started spraying them with Neem oil once a week in hopes of helping them.

I love it that your girls look like they really enjoy each other. I hope Jacob and Kaitlyn get to be like that.

They do enjoy each other, but pictures are bit deceiving. They drive each other crazy too. They do love to pose!

I don't know much about roses. I had several rose bushes (not the nice climber like yours) and they got covered with black spot every year. I dug out the ones that were most susceptible and my neighbor took them off my hands. That's how I solve my rose disease problem. :) I tried the chemical sprays and they did nothing, so I would try something natural if I sprayed them at all.
